Mother Dairy Trip For Class XI and XII

Today the students of classes XI and XII commerce visited Mother Dairy Plant in Patparganj which is central hub for processing and distributing loose milk in Delhi / NCR it processes and distributes 10 lakh liters of milk daily. the students were guided by Mr.Ashok Verma in the plant and were told about the process of treating the milk and how the milk collected by the cooperatives, is tested by the 23 tests from the hygiene of the tank to testing for the additives and if the milk fails any of the tests it is straight away rejected and this process takes 3 hours, then they told the students about the stages of process that are clarification, homogenization, standardization and pasteurization and how they are done. The plant also receives special privileges so that it can run even in the extreme cases.The plant is fully automated, out of 23, 2 tests were shown to the students and were then sent back to the starting point and there the kids enjoyed vanilla flavored milk and butterscotch ice-cream.The students had a great educational visit there and are planning to revisit in future.
